''THE RING' BIBLICAL JEWELRY - A HISTORY
The Ring jewelry store in Jerusalem has been under the personal direction of Bob and Hanna Faber since its opening over 35 years ago. The Biblical Jewels website, which allows people from all over the world to access their beautiful jewelry creations, is also very much a family business of the Fabers.
Bob and Hanna are both the children of Holocaust survivors, though Bob was born in California and Hanna in Israel. They met when Bob was on a trip to Israel over 40 years ago and were married soon after. Bob had learned the jewelry profession from his father, and Hanna studied interior design and architecture, so it was very natural for the young couple to dream about designing and making jewelry as a business of their own.
Even before The Ring was opened, Bob began to work as a jeweler. A ring he designed and created with an ancient gold coin was presented as a gift from Jerusalem to Pope John Paul II.
Bob and Hanna have three married daughters and four grandsons all living in Israel. Bob is an avid horseman and certified riding instructor. The couple enjoy traveling, visiting museums, and meeting people from all over the world who visit their store.
They take special pride in welcoming customers who return again and again to The Ring. Bob and Hanna have designed wedding rings for a number of couples who have returned years later to purchase wedding rings for their children. This kind of customer loyalty is only possible because of the Fabers' special kind of service and attention to individual needs.
